Multitasking

... at its best.

What am I doing this very minute? Replying to emails, calling up party suppliers, uploading photos at flickr, finishing online tasks, facebooking while blogging and reading up on Blue Advantage health plans. Beat that!

Been extremely busy these past days which is why my list of things to do has piled up - high as Mt. Everest! So no matter how bad I am at multitasking and how it isn't really my forte as I lose focus, I have no choice but multitask or else nothing will ever get done and before I know it, two mountain high of things to do will be waiting for me. And with that, there is no way I could ever catch up.

I aim to finish atleast half of what's on my list of to do's today. Wish me luck!

Friday Fill Ins

1. The crickets sing, and I don't care!

2. Stay happy wherever you are.

3. I want to get far away from the hustles and bustles of the city.

4. In Europe shopping; this was a dream.

5. But as for me life is short, do anything as you please.

6. I come from where?

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to Sophia's Lantern Parade in school, tomorrow my plans include taking a rest the whole day and Sunday, I want to go malling!

Coin investing?

A dear friend from college who moved to Jersey was back in town last week. Went out for dinner and caught up with each other. Mommyhood took most part of our conversation what else. I guess a mommy can never really stop talking about her kids, her experiences, triumphs as well as her frustrations in the very ironic world of motherhood. She used to be a full time mommy like me but is now thinking of going back to work as the times are really getting harder for her and her family in Jersey according to her. Well, she is actually being talked into precious metals investments business just like Monex family of companies, a trusted leader in precious metals investments for nearly 40 years now. She still is thinking about it though as she really doesn't have any background with precious metals investment unlike the representatives at The Monex companies who are clear experts on the subject. In fact, Monex companies have helped tens of thousands of investors invest over $25 billion in hard asset investments including rare silver coins, gold, silver and platinum bullion and bullion coins as well as other precious metals investments.

Whatever she decides to do, I wish her all the best. She is one of the nicest people I know and she deserves nothing but the best.

hospital stint

In the 7 days we were in the hospital due to my daughter's dengue episode, boredom really hit us big time. Even after getting the globe tattoo sow we can surf the net anytime (I finally had the time to install a new antivirus software while we were there), it just didn't suffice. We really couldn't wait to go home. Here, let me share some photos I took with my phone of the little girl while we were bored to death ...

Kawawa noh?

Glad she's all better now and back to her old healthy self. :)

What happened?

We have been in the hospital for almost a week now. The husband had made the hospital room his office already with his office supplies everywhere!

What happened?

My eldest was admitted last Sunday which made the husband's Singapore trip for F1 cut short. He went home a day earlier than scheduled and was not able to watch the F1 finale/championships. The same thing happened when he was in Macau with the boys too. I wonder why the little girl happens to get sick when the daddy is away. Miss much? :P

Anyway, I'm just glad the little girl is all well now. I will write about the whole ordeal in a couple of days in my mommyhood blog. Will leave you with the doctor's final diagnosis though, its dengue. No worries, she's fine now. Her platelet count went back to normal already and we'll be ready for discharge tomorrow after her last scheduled cbc later at 3am.

For now, lets all pray that the new typhoon won't hit us hard like Ondoy did. May God put us all into safety.

Husband's Away

... and I will shop! Well, supposed to be but with the heavy rain and strong wind due to the typhoon, I can't even go out of the house! So here we are, spending Saturday at home while I blog blog blog. Hopefully delivery service from Pizza Hut will be available as I am craving form Super Supreme Stuffed Crust Pizza! And I'm telling you, I can finish the whole thing if I want to! Haha. Not even the best fat burners can work then eh? No worries though because I won't have the pizza all to myself as my sister is here for the weekend and I'll share of course. LOL. She has a big appetite too like me but since she's still single and all, she isn't gaining weight! Ugh! Well, I was actually like her when I was still single. Those were the days ...

For the upcoming MBAPS Christmas Party, here are my kids' wishlists.

3. Travel feeding Set

Romantic Vacation.

Some of our good friends are planning on a romantic vacation riviera maya style. They have been bugging Jon and I to join them but as early as now, we already made other plans. Too bad. If only we can, we will definitely join them as I've heard such great feedback on the World of Sensuality and Seclusion on the White-Sand Beaches of Riviera Maya. Perfect for every couple I must say. Add the luxurious accommodations and invigorating entertainment and the classy snap-to service that responds to discerning travelers’ requests by the well known Karisma Hotels, I bet the vacation will be an experience of a lifetime as Karisma's concept of luxury and service has no equal and is definitely one of a kind.If you want a taste of what they have to offer, you can try Karisma’s five signature resorts which include: El Dorado Royale Spa Resort (adults only), El Dorado Seaside Suites (adults only), Azul Beach (family-friendly) and Azul Blue (family-friendly – opening November 2006), Hidden Beach Resort (naturalist) and Azul Blue Hotel + Spa – Riviera Maya.

Outfit Shopping.

I was online shopping again and was so close to clicking the checkout button but I got back to my senses (just in time!) and decided to close the browser. Whoa, self control! I hope I can continue with this just so I can put my card to rest, a much needed rest I must say. :)

But one thing I really must / need to purchase are our outfits for the MBAPS Christmas Party. I picked lime green and too bad I don't have any lime green in my wardrobe. Same goes for the kids and hubby so I am now looking for lime green dresses and shirts for us. Any leads? I only have three weeks to go!

While I was surfing the net by the way for our outfits, I came across a site offering free seo software. Now, should I get one for my blogs? It free anyway. Will see ....

Okay, back to outfit hunting NOW.

Off to Barcelona.

The husband is, on Saturday. Well, that is if he won't change his mind last minute or if he feels well soon. You see, I think he has had too much attending to our eldest at HK Disneyland that he now is down with colds and a little cough. Poor daddy! He badly wants to go though as he needs to also look at some industrial equipment supplies for the farm aside from visiting other farms there.

My little girl is all well though, thank God, even if it was really HOT the day we were in Disneyland. Just took her to school today since the driver has to go to PAL ticketing office to have my booking for another trip corrected and get Mateo's ticket as well. I've been having issues with PAL ticketing office for the past week now regarding the booking I made and I'm really pissed. This deserves another post though.

Anyway, on to happy thoughts. Back to reality now so here I am having breakfast of Angus Tapa while waiting for Shopwise to open. Need to get some groceries and what-nots. Will also drop by at TPC in ATC later for the prints of our photos. Have you seen them? If you havem't yet, go to my facebook or flickr and see how cutie my kids are. :D

Moviesssss.

Have you heard of conjugated linoleic acid? Well, I haven't too but right now I'm doing a bit of reading about it as I heard it does wonders to people who badly want to lose some extra pounds. Oh, that is totally me! Haha. Will let you all know how it goes when I finish my research, wink wink!

In the meantime, let me share with you the movies hubby and I watched over the past two weeks. From totally hilarious ones to tearjerker types, we enjoyed all of them! And while watching, we can't stop munching on burgers and chips, goshhh! How are we suppose to lose weight like this?!?!?!

Here goes the list.

GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra
From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite G.I. JOE team uses the latest in next-generation spy and military equipment to fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious Cobra organization to prevent them from plunging the world into chaos. (http://movies.yahoo.com/)

Several months after his death, she meets Chris (Sam Milby), a young man also suffering from the loss of his spouse. They become friends and help each other move on. But as their friendship grows, their unmistakable attraction for each other grows.

Hangover

The Time Traveler's Wife

Pampanga Visit.

After roughly four months, we were able to reserve a weekend to go to Pampanga and visit my family. Although my mom would usually sleep over at our house every once in a while to see her "apos", she still of course was very happy to have us in her home this time. I missed her cooking too so I was more than happy to be back. :)

The three days we were there were mostly spent home, just lazing around and pigging out with my mom's cooking. She really makes an effort to cook when we come home. Saturday night was spent at Fortune Restaurant for dinner, a quick five minute car ride from my mom's place. We always go here whenever we go home. Jon loves their hot prawn salad to bits. He can finish one whole serving alone, haha. Here are some photos I manage to take ...

saturday night dinner at fortune restosaturday night dinner at fortune restosaturday night dinner at fortune resto

Topic of the night, would you believe, was about insurance marketing?!?! My younger brother is a business management student thats why and this was part of his presentation. Harhar.

Anyway .... now that my youngest is a bit bigger, we'll most likely be able to visit the place where I grew up more often. I know my mom misses having us around her home and so do we.

For you.

While I was chatting with my cousin the other day who is permanently residing now in in one of those panama city beach florida condos (living the life!), I received a very heartwarming message from a certain someone who religiously read my blogs and has been quite disappointed that I don't update often anymore. How she came to know of my blogs and why she likes reading the nonsense posts I write, I still have to figure out. But nevertheless, thank you for taking time out to reach out and search my name at facebook just so you can send me a message. I hope your mom gets well really soon. Will say a prayer for her just like how you say a prayer for me and my family too. Thank you and I'm hoping to meet you personally soon.

In the meantime, little updates are all I could afford right now. They are all for you though :)

Blogging.

Back in 2006, I started to blog just so I can have a diary of some sort. A place to write my thoughts, share our family adventures, take note of my daughter's milestones and a space to hold my guilty pleasure - shopping sprees. I never thought other people would get to read the stuff I write as I write solely for me, myself and nobody else. Over time though, I made new friends because of blogging which I really didn't expect. It surprised me that there are actually people out there who take time to visit my blog (and now my blogs) and wait for updates. That's the power of internet for you and the very reason why even if there are unwanted visitors who lurk and secretly read my blogs and probably talk about me and look for all my imperfections/flaws I have either in what I write, how I write and the life I live behind my back, I still love blogging. After all, I've met and made really good friends online and the few who chose to judge me are not worth my time, really. They are not welcome here and I wonder why they keep on reading and wasting their time visiting my blogs if they don't like what I write in the first place. Duh?

Anyway, most blogs on my daily read (mostly my friends' and some celebrities') already have seo tool to boost their google rankings. In short, they have taken it a step forward. I wonder if I should do the same. I guess not. After all, all I want really is to have a place to write anything I want to write about, nonsense and all. But for those of you who want to boost your website rankings, rank number one on Google and other technical stuff, you may want to get a free SEO Tool like what my friends did.

Love them!

Katie and Suri. Who wouldn't? Katie has evolved into a gorgeous lady from her Dawson's Creek days and her 3 year old daughter Suri is just oh so adorable. Seeing them together gives a smile on my face each time.

Photos grabbed from Celebritybabies.com.

A different kind of investment.

I was so surprised to find out that hubby's long time friend who is based in the US has been a coin dealer for some time now. He has been talking the husband to try investing into rare coins which apparently is a good investment nowadays. As a result, the husband is now reading up on Monaco Rare Coin which is a part of the Monex family of companies, a trusted leader in precious metals investments for nearly 40 years now. The Monex companies have helped tens of thousands of investors invest over $25 billion in hard asset investments including rare coins, gold, silver and platinum bullion and bullion coins as well as other precious metals investments. I wonder if the husband will give it a try. After much persuading from his friend though, I bet he would. I wonder if such is a good move to make. I hope so!

Hannah Montana Chinese Version.

My cousin who is based in North Carolina and is working part time selling bcbsnc products on the market cannot contain his laughter when he saw the photos of my pop star wannabe daughter I posted at Flickr and Facebook. He called me instantly and said my daughter was the cutest Chinese version of Hannah Montana he had ever seen. LOL. He ain't lying. See for yourself ...
